John Marston Speaks! An Interview With Rob Wiethoff

Retroplayer- First off, tell us a little about yourself, Rob.

Rob- I’ve started writing about myself and then erased what I’ve written three times already. I guess I’ll just have to put some stuff down and run with it. -It’s hard to know where to start. It’s also hard to write anything that has a chance of being interesting without sounding like I’m full of myself. I feel like I’m pretty much a regular guy. Actually, I do have something to say that most people wouldn’t know about me. When I was seventeen months old, I cut my left hand ring-finger off by trying to grab the chain of an exercise bike that my sister was riding. My mom had to grab my finger out of the spokes and take it with us to the hospital where it was re-attached. Because the surgery was successful, at the time -and only for a short amount of time- I was awarded with the honor of being the “youngest successful re-plant” (IN THE WORLD!). That’s right. I held a world record. -True story. I’m not sure who holds that record now, but I wish them the best in their recovery. Really, though, I don’t know much more to tell you about myself other than that little bit of information. Like I said before, I’m just a regular guy. I love my friends. I love my family. I love my fiance. I love my dogs. Everything else is icing on the cake.
