by Shane Willoughby - on Apr 7th 2010 at 4:48 am (IST). This post has 1 Comment

That’s right! Hideo said that there was some big Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker news on the way and he wasn’t lying. In a suprising and unquie fusion of franchises, Peace Walker will include bosses from Capcom’s PSP mega popular ‘Monster Hunter’ franchise. Exact details are still pretty sketchy at the moment but the latest edition of Famitsu does confirm the gaming crossover. Were not exactly sure what to make of this but one things for sure, Peace Walker was always going to shift alot of new PSPs in the east and now that it has jumped into bed with the Monster Hunter franchise, expect a hell of alot more PSPs and actual copies of Peace Walker to fly off the shelves. Later today, Koima Productions will host a game completion celebratory dinner and a pree conference. Expect to learn more from this. We will keep you posted.

He tweeted the following yesterday:

New Metal? Big Announcement? Hideo just loves to tease us. He has it down to a fine art. The game is out on June 12th here in Europe.

Sony Readying PSPGo Relaunch!?

by Shane Willoughby - on Feb 2nd 2010 at 2:05 pm (IST). This post has No Comments

Let’s face it; the PSPGo hasn’t exactly taken the hardware by storm. With many retailers casting the hardware aside before it’s actual launch and with the original UMD PSP selling better than they ever have (No.1 hardware in Japan last three weeks in part due to Valkyria Chronicles 2), it appears that Sony’s UMD-less PSPGo never really had a chance. However, if Sony has learning anything from the less couple of years its that it ain’t over til its over.

Gamervision are today reporting that Sony is readying a PSPGo ‘relaunch’. This ‘relaunch’ will come in the form of a marketing blitz and wait for it…………..a price drop. This could be what the PSPGo needs. Look what the price drop did for the PS3. Let’s hope Gamervision has this one right. The PSPGo is actually quite an impressive piece of kit. It deserves to be doing better.

Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker Arrives May 28th 2010

by Shane Willoughby - on Dec 3rd 2009 at 4:01 pm (IST). This post has No Comments

Konami have today announced that Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker will arrive in Europe on May 28th 2010.
“Metal Gear Solid fans should prepare themselves for the next chapter of Snake’s story,” said Hideo Kojima in today’s Press Release. “[The game] will answer many of the series’ unanswered questions and showcase a different, more collaborative side to tactical espionage. May 27th is when Snake’s story continues…”
So it’ll ship May 27th and arrive on the shelves and on the Playstation Store on the 28th then. OK. Whatever you say Mr. Kojima. You are our leader. This is going to be huge. TGL can’t wait.
