Pro Evolution Soccer has been playing second fiddle to FIFA for a good few years now and Konami’s and PES team leader Jon Murphy has had enough of it, not least because he believes that the current popularity of the FIFA franchise and it’s many layers of innovation are down to PES.

Konami has released the very first in-game footage of Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 as part of their pre-E3 press showcase held earlier today.

Pro Evolution Soccer’s senior producer Naoya Hatsumi has said that PES will utilize Kojima Production’s Fox Engine when the franchise goes next-gen.

Konami has released the very first Pro Evolution Soccer 2013 trailer as promised. It’ll launch for PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii, PC, PlayStation 2, PSP and 3DS this Autumn. There are no plans for a Vita version for whatever reason.
