Twisted Metal fans rejoice. Sweet Tooth is coming to ModNation Racers next week. The “official” Sweet Tooth Mod and his deliciously deadly Ice Cream Kart hit PSN together this week for $1.99. Nice Cream!
United Front Games have posted a video which documents the process behind the game and show how the lads work hard but play hard too! At one stage they have no less than 80 bugs in the game with 15 days to go – and they aimed to have the 80 bugs ironed out in one working
The ‘Play, Create, Share’ paradigm is an interesting one. Who would have thought that just 3 years ago when the world was first introduced to a Sackboy on a Skateboard that playing, creating and sharing would become so big? Sure, the premise seemed appealing enough, everyone who is anyone would surely want to create their own levels and challenges and share them with friends online. But surely the success of the play, create and share mentality would hinge on how it would first be executed. LittleBigPlanet, the Playstation 3’s first play, create and share forum (with some two million user generated levels so far) quite simply rules and was the perfect first introduction to this creative paradigm. Its success makes you hope therefore that this whole play, create and share idea would grow wings and catch on elsewhere. Luckily for us it has, only there are no wings in sight, only wheels. ModNation Racers is play, create and share on wheels and its potential is simply astounding.
The awesome Modnation Racers is to get some free DLC as shown below. There’s only one drawback: Gamespot and the Playstation blog have teamed up and will be giving the codes away to those that jump through hoops. Surely the Air Raid DLC will also be included on the PSN for free? Who

The last video we saw with Kevin Butler in it was simple, funny and a great way to market a product. It wasn’t full of the typical commercial bullshit and kept your attention. Well here we go again. This time around, Kevin points out the online play, track editor and so on. Keep an eye out for his killer
It’s so refreshing to hear that a developer has put in the effort to include four player splitscreen in a game, even better when your hear that the result is four player splitscreen in Sony’s forthcoming Play/Create/Share karter ModNation Racers. Speaking of splitscreen on the US PS Blog, Mat Thomas from United Front Games writes:
“Finally, we decided to deliver the four-player couch experience. This was a lot of work, but we have managed to create a great experience where four friends can settle down for some great kart racing. What we have delivered is a fantastic local multiplayer experience reminiscent of some of our best local multiplayer play sessions from years gone by. Again, you can play action or pure race, as well as race on any tracks in the game created by United Front Games or other players.
“Overall, our multiplayer experience has been created to cater to all different players, and we feel that when people play the game they will be able to get the experience they desire. We can’t wait for all our fans to join the ModNation in May.”
United Front Games should be applauded for bringing multiplayer back into our living rooms where it belongs. ModNationRacers can’t come soon enough.

Lets hope United Front Games can deliver with the final product. Check out the trailer below.
