A trusted insider source close to TGL has confirmed that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be re-revealed next month.
Interesting one this. Aspiring actress and Olay spokeswoman Erin Spenser has fleetingly let slip that she’s doing motion capture for the next Metal Gear Solid game. That’s Metal Gear Solid Rising to you and me.

Kojima Productions have confirmed at TGS 2011 that Metal Gear Solid: Rising will be most certainly be appearingin 2012 on Playstation 3, Xbox 360 and now……………….(drum roll)………..Playstation Vita.
Just a thought….
Just because Metal Gear Solid: Rising isn’t going to be at E3 dosen’t mean Konami don’t have any big Rising news brewing for another time.
Mr. Metal Gear himself Hideo Kojima has only gone and thrown a bunch of E3 curve balls our way relating to all things MGS.
And so it begins….
A leaked GameStop release schedule claims that the highly anticipated Lightning Bolt Action slash’em up Metal Gear Solid Rising won’t ship until November 2012. November 2nd 2012 to be exact. Ouch!
Kojima-san tweeted during the night (EU) that him and “core team members” have started meeting about the next title they are to make. Comprising of these
The way I interact with Watermelons and bowling pins will never be the same again. This looks absolutely incredible. Wow.
Raiden’s solo hack and slash’em up and Playstation Move. Seems like a match made in motion heaven, right? Well in Episode 12 of the Official Playstation Magazine Podcast, while discussing the some of the titles that appeared at E3, the team talked abiout Rising and when asked is the game “Will it use Move?” editor Ben Wilson replied with;
“It’s been hinted to me that it might”
Interesting. Its safe to assume that if Move is used it will be purely optional. I’d like the option.
The Patriots. Les Enfants Terrible. Shalashaska. DARPA. Dead Cell. Arsenal Gear. The Philosophers’ Legacy. Militaires Sans Frontieres. The La-Li-Lu-Le-Lo. I could go on and on with Metal Gear terminology until im blue in the face. It’s a pretty convoluted universe. Blink when your playing an MGS game and you WILL miss something. It can quite intimidating for anyone picking up a Metal Gear game for the first time if they haven’t already played the games that came before it. Luckily, those of you who will be making Metal Gear Solid: Rising your very first introduction to the franchise can take heart in the knowledge that, if you havent played a Metal Gear before you won’t suffer.
GamePro interviewed Rising Director Mineshi Kimura and Creative Producer Shigenobu Matsuyama and basically, you can enjoy Rising without any previous knowledge of the franchise. The game will attempt to please the hardcore Metal Gear fans as well as new takers to the game. What the interview in the video below.
It’s probably a no brainer that MGS: Rising would feature multiplayer but you can never be too sure of what Kojima Productions would do with their games.
KP’s Shigenobu Matsuyama and Mineshi Kimura told NowGamer that they are looking at implementing multiplayer into Rising, but they don’t exactly know how it will work just yet.
“We’re still actually considering this aspect as of now. We won’t make the game without online, but we’re still considering what element of online to put in the game.”
“We won’t make the game without online.”
One wonders just what Rising online would mean. Running around slicing my friends online sounds good to me. Bring it home guys. Now just try and get Mikami to add multiplayer to Vanquish.
