Crystal Dynamics – Tomb Raider reboot isn’t just Uncharted

It’s hard not to look at Crystal Dynamics’ Tomb Raider reboot and think “UNCHARTED”. Naughty Dog’s flagship action adventure franchise has rewritten the rule book and as such, stands as the defining example of it’s genre. Everyone and everything lives in Uncharted’s shadow, and that’s something that Crystal Dynamics want to step out of. Tomb Raider is not Uncharted. It’s a different experience entirely.

Play.com looks like it has jumped the gun and has outted all of seven new PlayStation Vita games. One of them happens to be Resident Evil Portable, the game that was announced for PSP back at E3 2008 that has never been heard of since.

GI are now suggesting that the key to any deal with Sony and cloud service Gaikai is backwards compatibility. The deal will allow current-generation hardware to play PlayStation 2 and PSone games via a streaming solution and Gaikai.
