a very informative interview with Senior Systems Designer Kent Hudson from 2k recently in which they confirmed plans for DLC. As reads below (when asked about DLC):
2k have released some new screens for Bioshock 2. The likes of Kotaku and other big cheeses have played it as of today and are all reporting good news so we thought we’d
Bioshock 2 is only 2 months away and 2K are just after releasing some new footage, this time showcasing an electric plasmid. Take a look at the footage below and tell us what you think. Bioshock 2 is out on PS3, 360 and PC February 2010.
Wow, just look at all this Bioshock 2 loot that is going to come packaged with the Special Edition version of the game. The SE is going to come in a 13” x 13” premium package, that includes a copy of the game, a CD of Bioshock 2’s orchestral score, a vinyl 180g LP of the first Bioshock’s orchestral score, three replica posters of actual posters that can be found sprinkled around Rapture and a 164 page 8”x11” hardbound game art book. Nice. But how much you ask? Well it’s going to cost $99.99 for 360 and PS3 owners and ten dollars less for the PC version. TGL thinks it’s worth it. I’m sure the euro price conversion will be thrown out the window and we can expect to pay what the Americas are pay at €99.99 and €89.99 respectively. What do you think? Will you cough up this much to go back to Rapture?
2K games are preparing to take us back to Rapture. Here’s the first glimpse of the final box art for the Bioshock 2 prior to its February 9th 2010 launch. All in all it looks pretty cool, very dark, gloomy, very Big daddy, very Rapture. TGL likes it a lot. Throw in a Little Sister and a smattering of broken glass and you have one of 2010 most highly anticipated titles. What do you think? Here’s the PS3 artwork, the 360 and PC boxes are essentially the same.
Bioshock 2 is coming and with these new screens it’s looking…well, the same but different if you get me?. For those who have yet to discover rapture I won’t spoil it but what I will say is that although TGL are very happy that there is a sequel in sights, we are also nervous. The game seems to be evolving into a yearly franchise as opposed to the slug and sweat that Biochock encapsulated. Bioshock was a cascadding waterfall of sublime imagery, well-designed levels and superb audio design. We hope that B2 lives up to the hype!
Hey, check out the newest Trailer for Biohsock 2 which got released today by 2k. If your like everyone here at the TGL, you cant wait to get back to Rapture! Enjoy!
