Four years ago today on October 19th 2009, a couple of enthusiastic friends with a love for all things gaming, started TheGamingLiberty.com. They were uncertain times for us, not least because we essentially had no idea just what we were doing or what we wanted to achieve with TGL. Four years on, you could be forgiven for thinking that maybe those entry level uncertainties still permeate everything that TGL is and isn’t doing. After three plus years of endless gaming news updates, interviews, reviews and everything else in-between, we suddenly became unanimously and unapologetically mute last July and over the last three plus months. It’s about time we broke our silence and unravelled those uncertainties for you once and for all.
There’s a couple of ways we could do this. We could continue to stay quiet. We could tease you for a couple of weeks. Or we could just cut straight to the chase.
We’ve decided to run with the latter option.
On our fourth birthday, we’re thrilled to tell you that TGL WILL RETURN Friday November 8th 2013 at 8PM GMT. The TGL that returns aims to retain the same energy, impetus and passion that it always did. It’ll be more structured, focused and more accessible than it ever was. More people, more content, more ideas, more games, more TGL. Next gen, last gen, you name it – we got you covered.
We can’t begin to tell you just how excited we are to bring TGL back. Your support for us during our hiatus has been both patient and humbling and we thank you all sincerely for your kind words, messages, phone-calls and expressions of appreciation for TGL and for what we do. Your goodwill towards us has both galvanized and reinforced our passion for TGL and brought the interest, passion and excitement for this website into a level of clarity we couldn’t have anticipated previously.
See you on 8/11/13.
Here’s to you.
