Let’s clear up some confusion here. Voice actor Kevin Conroy was originally reported to have been replaced as the voice of Batman: Arkham Origins. However, Conroy stated over the weekend at Comic-Con in Dallas that HE WAS involved in the new Arkham game as the voice of the dark knight.
However, in another turn of events, Joystiq has since learned that Rodger Craig Smith (voice of Ezio in Assassin’s Creed, current Sonic and Chris Redfield in Resident Evil) will now in fact voice Batman in Origins. So, was Conroy lying? Just what the hell is going on?
Well, Conroy since Tweeted (since removed) that he is still the voice of Batman, just not in Origins. He is the voice of Batman in another as yet to be announced Arkham game. Here’s what he said:
“Confusion in Dallas! I am in new ARKHAM GAME coming soon, NOT ARKHAM ORIGINS coming this fall”
Are Rocksteady secretly working on a new Arkham game, possibly next-gen? Or is this a reference to Black Gate’s portable Batman game? Why did he remove the Tweet? It just got very interesting. Watch this space.
