A source close to Gamesreactor has told the site and print publication that SEGA are indeed working on a HD version of Dreamcast classic Skies of Arcadia, with the intention of releasing it on consoles, presumably next year.

Recently, SEGA renewed the Skies of Arcadia trademark, thus ensuring that they retain pocession of the property. This, the source claims, adds weight to his/her claim that Skies of Arcadia is coming.

SEGA has been pretty good at releasing HD re-workings of older classics like Sonic Adventure, Jet Set Radio, Crazy Taxi and NiGHTS in Dreams this generation. A Skies of Arcadia HD should be a no-brainer.

The title was originally released back in 2000 on Dreamcast.
