Nintendo has confirmed the release date and price for the Wii U in Japan.

The machine will ship in two models – a basic and a premium machine. Hitting the Japanese market December 8th, the basic model will set gamers back 26,250 yen (€265/£210/$338), with the premium machine costing 31,500 yen (€315/£252/$405). Here’s how the machines break down:
