Konami and Kojima Productions’ 25th Anniversary Metal Gear site is now live in Europe and rather curiously teases four Metal Gear related announcements that are “coming soon”.
The site features eight spaces, with each space revealed thus far referencing either some aspect of community interaction with the anniversary via social networks or, something to do with Metal Gear games we already know about with MGS4 trophies or MGS1 on sale on the PlayStation Store.
However, four tabs are left open, marked with the words “coming soon”. Now, these could literally be harmless announcements when they arrive like Metal Gear T-shirts, a social media competition, a new Rising Revengenace trailer or the launch of Metal Gear toothpaste (We’d buy that!) or whatever, but given that Kojima Productions has confirmed that they will reveal their in-house Fox Engine this month and have planned a big Metal Gear 25th Anniversary “day” in Tokyo at the end of the month, you never know, there might just be a new game or something like that to get excited about.
Time will tell. Start praying in your cardbaord box.
