It looks like PS Vita Firmware 1.8 will add PSOne Classics support when it is released later in the Summer.
Andriasang understands that the firmware will drop at some stage this Summer and will allow users to play everything from Final Fantasy VII to Metal Gear Solid on the handheld.
Expect a more formal announcemen sooner rather than later. Sony promised this functionality at E3 last month.
