Yet another Microsoft job listing has directly pointed to the development and research into next-gen technology.
One of the latest listings, one that asks for a software development engineer to join the dev team in Redmond, is looking for new recruits to work on the “next generation of Natural User Interface technologies:
The Xbox Platform Team is gearing up towards the next generation of Natural User Interface (NUI) technologies. We are the convergence zone of MSR, Incubation, Game Developers and the XBOX Platform, providing the building blocks for exciting new NUI experiences.
But that’s far from the end of it as OXM points out, Microsoft’s research labs in Haifa, Israel is also looking for talent to work on said technology:
“The XBOX team Israel is a fast growing team that is responsible for designing, building and delivering the devices and the innovative solution for Xbox and various future NUI applications.”
Finally, and probably most poignant of all, is yet another position in Redmond which cites:
The job is defined by working in between the Xbox hardware team and the rest of the Xbox Platform Software team. If you enjoy being close to the metal, working on cutting edge hardware, being involved with the incredible innovation of Kinect, and being part of a team of highly efficient engineers then this role is for you. The world has watched us ship some incredible products…the best is yet to come!
Of course, this isn’t the first time next-gen was mentioned by the firm in some shape or form, and we’re sure it won’t be the last.
