Microsoft has announced Xbox SmartGlass at E3 2012. SmartGlass allows your smart devices and your Xbox 360 to work in tandem, sharing content and providing you with an intelligent companion to enhance your entertainment.

SmartGlass will allow you to share music and movies between devices. Additionally, games publishers are looking at ways of supporting the SmartGlass. For example Halo 4 will sync with your tablet, iPhone or Android phone to launch Halo Waypoint. SmartGlass also allows you to work out set NFL plays on your device that will transfer to your in-game experience.

SmartGlass also allows you to use Kinect and control your Xbox interface and menu from your phone or tablet. You can pinch, zoom, flick etc, just like you do on your phone. SmartGlass communicates directly with your Xbox.

The programme also ushers in the introduction of Internet Explorer to Xbox 360. It’s due this Autumn. More on this soon.
