Ubisoft are aiming higher than ever before with the return of Far Cry.
Far Cry 3′s Producer Dan Hay has gone on the record to say the teams at Ubisoft are working towards a more emotive gaming experience. Speaking with digitalspy, Hay said that by seperating Jason from his family and friends, and by instilling a greater fear than ever before, Ubisoft want you to feel something very real:
“When we put [Jason] in Vaas’s domain, and as we watch as Jason is essentially separated from his friends and his family, and he’s got people that he cares about who die, he goes through very, very real emotions, and the goal was to have the player be like, ‘Damn, how am I going to survive this? Real fear, real tension, real hate.”
