Oddworld Inhabitants has confirmed that the remake of Abe’s Oddysee will be just that; a remake from the ground up in every sense of the word. This will not just be a simple HD upgrade, this is a reboot.
“OK, so here’s the skinny on Oddworld: Abe’s Oddysee. We decided to reboot it, not just an HD update to the original PSone title, this is a new game,” so says the official Oddworld Inhabitants Facebook page. “It will be getting it’s first public showing later this year, with a release date of next summer (2013).”
Abe HD was announced earlier in the year but nothing had been heard until this sweeping announcement by Oddworld. Colour us excited.
