The Examiner has it that Microsoft will be entering the world of tablet services with the ‘Xbox Smart Glass’ tablet, a device that will be shown behind closed doors to select media at E3 next week.
The tablet will reportedly feature and allow the following:
- Will allow users to control their Xbox 360 remotely. Will be available cross platform on multiple operating systems including Windows, Windows Phone, Android and iOS.
- Applications will be accessible through the tablet. Such as Youtube/Netflix/Vemo ect.
- Live streaming ability through the tablet to the TV, desktop, lap top and other devices.
- A demo at E3 will be shown, but no live video will be featured
The report over on the Examiner suggests that the presence of the tablet probably explains why a next-gen Xbox isn’t at E3. We’re not so sure. Let’s see where this one goes.

Strange conflicting info, first bullet point sounds like an App, but then refers to tablet in others?!? There’s a Windows Phone app out already that lets you control the xbox remotely, I have it, still use the controller. Silly app is silly.
