Outspoken much?

It appears that Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance’s producer Atsushi Inaba really really REALLY dosen’t like people comparing his game to Team Ninja’s universally panned Ninja Gaiden 3, not least because Inaba-san thinks that NG3 is a “shitty” game. Subtle.

In a tweet sent earlier today, Inaba-san reflected on the positive reaction to the latest E3 Rising trailer:

“It seems the game play portions of the trailer are quite popular,” Inaba said. “The ability to slice everything is a refreshing feature, and the playable cutscenes are well recieved too. People have been comparing it to Ninja Gaiden, but at least Ninja Gaiden III was a shitty game that cannot be helped. I don’t want it to be compared to that.”

His comments provoked something of a strong response, with many not exactly agreeing with his take on NG3. Inaba tweeted in reply: “You’re all quick to respond! Since I’m free to say my real opinions, I can be as frank as I want.”

Metal Gear Rising releases early next year.
