Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance will be subject to post release downloadable content, with publisher Kojima Productions suggesting that the DLC may well include new missions and new playable characters.
Speaking at E3 to GameTrailers, Kojima Productions producer Yuji Korekado debunked any talk of an online competitive element to Rising, instead suggesting that DLC will add additional weight to the game.
“We don’t have any plans for competitive online play or anything like that,” Korekado said.
“However we do have plans for some download content after the release from the game that will allow you to play maybe as a different character or some new missions.”
Revengeance will hit PS3 and 360 in early 2013.
