As most of you probably have already noticed, the announcement of Splinter Cell: Blacklist brought with it a number of surprises, not least that stalwart Sam Fisher voice over and established Hollywood hard guy Michael Ironside will not be return to voice the character.
But who is the new voice? TGL can confirm that Eric Johnson will be stepping into the role of Fisher, one that not only requires Johnson to provide Sam’s voice but will also require recording motion capture for the character. Johnson is best known for his work on Smallville.
Splinter Cell: Blacklist will drop next year for PS3, 360, Wii U and PC.

No Ironside means I will not be buying this game. Sorry, but they never learn recasts are horrible. This is the first Splinter cell I will not be buying its just another, Borne Identity game now.
While I’m not a fan of recasting such iconic characters either, it won’t deter me from buying this game. This and Tomb Raider are my personal most anticipated games from E3. I do get where locsphere is coming from though. Could you imagine David Hayter not being Snake, or Nolan North not being Drake? This is the same kind of thing.
