Deep Silver announced Dead Island: Riptide at E3, much to the confusion of almost everyone, not least because most weren’t sure if Riptide was some kind of a expansion to the original Dead Island or a completely new experience altogether. Deep Silver are sticking to the latter. Riptide is a whole new game.
“It is a new game. Not a remake,” Aubrey Norris of DS told RipTen.
When asked if the €50 odd price tag placed on the game by retailers was justified for the game, Norris said that “it’s the end of a console cycle- we think this price makes a lot more sense given that.”
Dead Island: Riptide has no date as of yet.
