This story has actually been doing the rounds online for a few days now but now that Joystiq went straight to the source and asked Valve what the story is with them and E3, it merits publishing. It also merits crawling back into the corner of your bedroom clutching your headcrab plushie and continuing to weep inconsolably.
“We have no product announcements planned for this year’s show,” Valve’s Doug Lombardi told the site.
It comes off the back of Valve boss Gabe Newell apparently telling a fan via email that Valve wouldn’t be showing anything new at E3, a game called Half-Life 3.
O well……….sigh………..

I’ve actually half given up on a conclusion to the series now. There is a little bit of hope, but not a lot.
Thing is, whatever they’re working on, it’s going to be great, Valve do have the Midas touch after all. Although they only like to show us the gold once every few years!
