Square-Enix have released a new Hitman: Absolution video that shows off the “art of the kill”. New kills in the video show knife throwing, up-close and personal executions as well as environmental kills thanks to evenly placed exploding tanks. Admittedly, we’re not too keen on it at all, are you?
Don’t like it. They took a fantastic series, incredible concept, and have seemingly turned it into another cover based shooter. Yeah, there’s clearly a stealth element to the game, but it looks like there’s plenty of emphasis on shootouts. It just looks like another series that has been watered down for the masses, and given the “we want the COD audience” treatment. With no David Bateson, no Jesper Kyd, and a whole slew of original IO devs no longer in sight, this isn’t Hitman for me. Hitman is dead. RIP Agent 47.
