The first in-game screen for Beyond Good & Evil 2 has hit the web.
The screen comes with confirmation that the game is still in “active” development. Coupled with that, a video which has appeared on youtube which has grabbed the gaming world’s attention, and it yields some interesting information about the return of Jade. Speaking with Ubisoft’ Michel Ancel, the video confirms the game is still full steam ahead:
“We are in an active creation stage and at this moment we are only focusing on the game and making it the best game that we can”.
Ancel, when quizzed about platforms, eluded to the title being too great for current-gen, and would instead ship on next-gen consoles only:
“We focus on the game. We create it first, then we’ll see what can run it”.
Finally, and probably most unfortunately, Ancel confirmed that gamers might have to wait until 2014 to get their hands on the game:
“We don’t say 2013 because we don’t know when it will come. We’re working to create a great game and it needs more tech”.
Thanks, Neogaf
