Street Fighter X Tekken has only sold 1.4 million copies since launch and Capcom are blaming genre cannibalism, apparently.
“Sales of Street Fighter X Tekken have fallen short of our plan,” the publisher said in a Japanese Q&A.
“We believe one of causes is cannibalism because of the large number of other games in this genre that were launched within a short time.”
It’s also worth noting that SFXT was not stocked by certain retailers, namely GAME. It just released on PC last week. Capcom didn’t help matters by putting every piece of additional paid DLC on the disc. Bo-urns.

Would love to know their expectations. 1.4 million is pretty good.
Street Fighter? *yawn*
