Tekken series producer Katsuhiro Harada has slated a September release for Tekken Tag Tournament 2 and has detailed some of the console exclusive modes that will accompany the game at launch.

Speaking at Namco’s Gamers Day, Harada-san confirmed that the console version will feature more characters than the arcade version. Seeing as the arcade version featured 44 characters, you can expect some 50 characters to ship with TTT2 on consoles.

Additionally, 1vs1, 2vs1, 2vs2 and a fight lab mode were detailed, the latter allowing beginners to fight customized bots. Harada-san reassured fans that TTT2 was not just a port of the arcade version, but a fully fledged game all onto itself.

Bring it.
