Is it really that dangerous in real life?
EA have released a new SSX trailer that speaks to Travis Rice . Travis, a pro-boarder, talks a little about his experience with the sport, and what he calls “survival mode” once you are barrelling down a mountain. Coincidentally, the ESRB have also rated the game which, as you may guess, is generally quite harmless. Rated an “E” for everyone, EA are aiming big with this one…
“This is a sports simulation game in which players snowboard down major mountain ranges around the world. As players speed through each trail, they earn points for performing tricks and avoiding hazards (e.g., crevasses, boulders, cliff edges). Opponents groan and tumble across the snow when hit, and some levels require players to outrun billowing avalanches. During the course of the game, some song lyrics and commentary also allude to violence (e.g., “Explosive terrorist style,” “This place will split your face open,” “You’ve just been assassinated!”).”
Thanks, ESRB
