Someone has spotted what could very well be a reference to Sony’s incoming PS3 exclusive announcement “The Last of Us” in Uncharted 3.
In one of the game’s early sequences where Drake and Sully rough house it with any number of hired goons in a pub in London, a newspaper called “The Overseer” can quite clearly we see in one corner of the bar with a headline that reads as such:
“Scientists are still struggling to understand deadly fungus”.
Could this be a reference to the fungus that almost certainly plays a defining role in the as yet to be announced exclusive? I guess it could be? Why not? However, it could just be an awesome coincidence. Either way, it was included in the game before it was patched so it was an in-game headline on day one retail.
