SSX’s lead designer Todd Batty has reveal that suggestions of an potential SSX HD Collection have been brought up at EA and that such and idea would be an “excellent suggestion”.

Speaking to TGL last week, Batty revealed that he still goes back to the original SSX games as a source of inspiration for 2012′s reboot. Bundling the original SSX games together in a HD Collection would, according to Batty, be a very welcome idea.

When asked about the what he thought about such a collection Batty remarked;

“Well, I obviously can’t talk about anything like that but I can say that it has been brought up and I think it’s an excellent suggestion. While working on this new SSX I would periodically pop SSX Tricky or SSX 3 into my console, just to see what they did with controls or environments or how they solved problems and all of those games, including the original. Even by today’s standards, they are still fun, well balanced, tight and tuned really well. They are still great games that I still play today.”

SSX’s second coming launches on PS3 and 360 in February 2012.
