FIFA Vita is official and will launch on Sony’s next generation portable this February.
Following Monday’s full reveal of the game, TGL spoke with EA’s Matt Prior who told us that not only will Vita bring the PS3 experience into the palm of your hands, but FIFA Vita will be the most accessible and controllable FIFA ever.
“It really is the PS3 in the palm of your hands. Giving people that PS3 experience in the palm of your hands while you’re on the move is a key goal for us,”
When asked about how the experience is enchanced and tailored for Vita, Matt replied;
“If you want to play FIFA Vita as you would play FIFA PS3, that is available to you. But what we have done is we’ve layered these touch-screen controls on top of that and made them optional. One of the great things we’ve found is that people would start playing it as they would PS3 and then as they learn the touch-screen controls, they will jump between the two. This makes FIFA Vita the most accessible and controllable FIFA ever. You have control of shooting now more than ever; the same can be said of passing. When you start to utilise them on Vita, the game opens up like never before. It’s a nice progression. You start off with Playstation 3 controls and then you start using the touch screen and you never go back.”
FIFA Vita is a Vita launch title and is coming to Europe and the U.S this February 22nd.
