Nintendo have announced that they will release a new revised streamlined Wii console in time for Christmas.
The new console will be white and will have a slightly altered configuration and is designed to sit horizontally rather than vertically. The console will be bundled as a “Family Edition” bundle with a Wii Remote Plus, a nunchuck and a copy of Wii Sports and Wii Party. This is just one example of the bundle’s Ninty have planned for the run up to Christmas.
Rather inexplicably this new Wii will NOT support GameCube backwards compatibility, be that software or hardware.
Eurogamer has it that the current Wii model as we know it will be discountinued when this new steamlined machine gets rolled out.
