With IO Interactive finally spilling the news on Hitman 5 yesterday, today brings some small yet interesting details. Sending out a press release, IO Interactive spoke a little about the “personal journey” that Agent 47 will face in Hitman 5 after he is betrayed by those he trusted. Hunted by the police, Agent 476 will face a “dark conspiracy and must embark on a personal journey through a corrupt and twisted world, in his search for the truth”.

Tore Blystad, game director at IO Interactive, had the following to say about the new adventure:

“For the first time we are taking Agent 47 on a personal journey which allows us to explore other parts of the HITMAN fantasy. This is both a familiar and yet significantly different experience to any of the other Hitman games, something our silent assassins will relish as well as those who are new to the Hitman world”.

IO Interactive are keen to also point out that the new game will showcase the new Glacier 2 technology as the game has “been built from the ground up”. With a new “cinematic story” and a “distinctive art direction”, we’re literally drooling with the thoughts of the return of Agent 47, but please, don’t let Diana be one of the people that turns on him.
