With the world watching them, Bungie have a lot to live up to now that they are working on a title with Activision. Speaking at GDC, Bungie’s lead network engineer David Aldridge confirmed that Bungie’s next game is indeed an MMO but he denied the claims that the game is simply “WOW in space”.
You may remember recently that an ex-contractor that worked with Bungie first reported these very details and the confirmation of the game rings aloud.
It may have seemed a great idea for Bungie to work with Activision way back when, but times have changed and Activision doesn’t have a great image at the moment so there’s bound to be some tension in there. We can only hope that it won’t poison the game.
