We rather enjoyed Hydrophobia you may recall. Ok so it didn’t set our world on fire but it had some really sweet elements to it and the success of the game hasn’t stopped Dark Energy Digital working secretly behind the scenes. Announcing Hydrophobia Pure today, Pete Jones, Joint Creative Director said the following about Hydrophobia Pure:
“Thanks to the bespoke procedural technology and data driven architecture of the InfiniteWorlds engine, we’ve been able to cram a huge amount into a tiny patch – to be honest we didn’t think it was possible to make as many changes as we have. The camera and control changes alone makes it play so differently; it’s a whole new experience. We have listened to what the community liked and disliked about the game; we know we didn’t get everything right first time around but we have taken this time to refine the experience.”
So there you go. Hydrophobia will be patched next time you launch it and this patch should help the whole experience run a tad bit smoother. If you haven’t bought it yet, the game is to also get a price drop down to 800 MSP, and for that, it’s a worthy purchase.
