Ubisoft have been kind enough to give us two copies of Shaun White Skateboarding on the PS3 to give away ahead of our review. All you have to do to net yourself a copy is to post a rhyme below, but the catch is, you have to include the name Shaun and the word Ubisoft in there somewhere! – but do keep them short-ish and sweet. Feel free to submit them below. We’ll pick the winner next week. Oh and do keep ‘em clean.
Here’s the press: “When we started making the game, we knew we wanted to give players a sense of how skaters see the world – everything is an opportunity,” said Nick Harper, Creative Director. “What looks like a handrail to us is really a grind. A park bench is a place to trick, an alley is a quarter pipe, etc. We’ve taken that idea and expanded it. We wanted to put our own twist on the genre and craft the type of game that allows players to be creative and still have a lot of fun.”
Players begin their journey in a dull and gray city that’s stretched over massive districts. As players skate and complete challenges, the city comes to life – new areas are revealed, better skate lines are created and buildings are transformed. Players can stretch and twist handrails to dizzying heights, empty fountains to create bowls, morph streets into ramps and much more. Creativity is rewarded with points, skateboarding gear and fresh, new skating opportunities. With 80+ skate tricks hand-picked by Shaun (including a Shaun creation called the “Armadillo”), players can pull off authentic skate moves from the get-go and jump online to challenge friends in co-operative or adversarial modes.

I was on my board, doing 360s in the club
Ubisoft had nothing on me, to busy eating grub
So here I am on the PS3,
Shaun White, stop, that kid ain’t got nothing on me
Shaun says “GAME ON”, but all I do is yawn
WOOOOOORD
AWWWWWWWW Ubisoft got the games, they got the BOARDS,
SO then they come to me coz I got the WORDS,
Like a PR guy, I ain’t their PAWN,
They only got one and his name is SHAUN,
Stick his name on the box to increase his FAME,
Even though he has no input in the GAME,
Still, beggers can’t choose, so I won’t be SNOTTY,
Plz, Gaming Liberty, send me a COPY?
Wut Wut, 2010 dawg
Yo shaun you’re so fine,
musik to my ears banging all the time
Ubisoft aint tripping
the game is just so good
pop it in the post TGL
and it be true that you ARE GOOD
Every now and then a game just might,
Be better than a pile of shite.
Tony Hawk just might not know this,
But Shaun White does so don’t dismiss
This as a “piss-poor skater” game
‘Coz Ubisoft are not to blame
For TH: Ride or even Skate.
But now it’s time to change the tide
Thanks to this guy; yeah, Shaun White.
Congratulations Stavros and Anthony – you’ve both won a copy of the game, can you both check your emails for details!
