THQ have confirmed that they are working on a sequel to shooter Metro 2033, called Metro 2034. 2034 will also be playable in 3D.
Speaking to CVG, THQ’s core games VP, Danny Bilson revealed that Metro 2034 will make up four games from the publisher to use 3D tech, which also includes the original game.
“We’re showing Metro 2033 in 3D right now, which Nvidia is showing as one of their key demo products,” he said.
“We’re going to be doing a 3D version of that on Metro 2034 – the sequel. And there will be some engineering costs there, but that’s in our lowest cost centre in the world. Those games are unbelievably reasonable, they’re built in Kiev.”
Sounds great. I wonder if Metro 2034 will be appearing on PS3 now that THQ are embracing 3D? We will just have to wait and see.
