Playstation boss Jack Tretton has announced this evening that as of tomorrow high-definition stereoscopic 3D gaming will be possible on the Playstation 3. The Playstation Blog is reporting that from June 10th four titles will be available in 3D. These will be Super Stardust HD and WipEout HD, Pain, and MotorStorm Pacific Rift. Playstation Move title The Fight: Lights Out will be the first motion controlled game to implement 3D. The Blog also states that a 3D Blu-Ray movie playback option will also be released as part of a firmware in the near future. Great work Sony.
This story will evolve over the course of the evening so stay with us on this. As soon as we get additional details we will let you know ASAP.
I wonder if this 3D implementation is why the PSN has been down for 12 hours today?
