Now for something completely different this week. Back when I did the huge Crusader: No Remorse interview musician Andrew Sega let me in on something that I found quite interesting. In 2006 a Slovakian company called Outsider Development with the aid of Andrew Sega tried to convince EA on porting Crusader: No Remorse to the PSP. Andrew tells me that “they had a functional version which I found quite impressive, but they didn’t have any luck convincing EA to let them finish and release it.” So, sadly it was never to be but Andrew was nice enough to send me the mp3 of the re-done theme song to Crusader. This of course is an exclusive for TGL so a huge thanks goes go Andrew for letting us in on this. Check out the track below.

So there you have it. It’s a pity that it never got off the ground because the PSP controls would be perfect for it. At the very least we now have this track to give us a taste of what could have been. And who knows, maybe it will happen eventually. Maybe one day we’ll get the Crusader: No Remorse PSP that could have been back in 2006.
Again, a huge thanks goes to Andrew Sega who parted with this gaming gem back in February.

Wow……no one has ever heard this before ever….brilliant
I’ve never heard the remixed tune, but I have seen the game. I was in contact with Outsider Development during the game’s production, and was given a prototype video of the gameplay. It was called Crusader: No Pity. Here is that clip: (I hope they don’t sue me!)

Ea is made of stupids, when they need to push on titles they made them famous they instead close project. They failed with moh since its a copy of bad company and they fail also in supporting games.
Crusader was an awesome series, its a damn shame this game got turned down. I would love play it reguardless if it was terrible or not
i wonder how many years from now people will still search for anything new on crusader and stumble across this…
To make it even worse, they killed off Origin systems and released their Origin client. I guess a lot of former Origin employees cringed at that.
Somebody should try to buy the rights to Crusader from them, then there would be no such issues of whether EA allows something or not. And apparently, the series isn’t worth anything to them anyway.
