The Major is confident all is working well…doesn’t seem that way though!:

“Matchmaking across #XboxLIVE is fixed! You may still have trouble purchasing and we’ll let u know ASAP when fixed”

UPDATE 3:

All seems to be functioning now. Major has tweeted the following:

“#XboxLIVE matchmaking and #MW2 are in a much better place now and I see many of you playing. We’re still cleaning up a few loose ends.”

UPDATE 2:

Matchmaking has stopped working. The Major is telling us that Matchmaking is in a ‘bad state’. He’s working on a solution.

“Matchmaking is in a bad state on Xbox LIVE right now. We’re working on it and will resolve it as quickly as we can.”

This is not good. Were being promised an update in 30minutes.

UPDATE 1:

The Major has tweeted that an update is available that fixes the issues. He tweeted:

“It may take a few mins for you to get the update, or for it to work properly. Once things get in order all should be fine.”

That’s great to hear for the people that will download it or have downloaded it already. Let’s hope there aren’t more issues or it’ll be more than Mapathy people will be feeling.

Were hearing reports that ‘Mapathy’ suffers are still suffering because Modern Warfare 2′s first DLC, the ‘Stimulus Package’ isn’t working. A number of issues have been raised by players including (but not limited) to Multiplayer lobbies not working, it’s impossible to play private matches and images of maps don’t show up. Activison haven’t said anything yet, but Major Nelson has tweeted that Microsoft have acknowledged the problem and are working on a solution. 1,200 MS Points for something that dosen’t work? Great work Activision.
