It’s true. Larry Hryb, Director of Programming for Microsoft’s Xbox LIVE online gaming network (major Nelson to you and me), has had his Xbox LIVE profile hacked. His profile including name, location and his speech bubble were all changed by the hacker who claimed that he/she can hack any Live account for $100. Some of the things he wrote in Nelson’s profile were pretty offensive and I wont be posting them here.

A certain website has claimed responsibility for the hack but I wont be posting a link to them because what they’ve done (if they are the ones who have done it) isn’t cool. If if want to read more into what they’ve written on Nelson’s account then head over to Kotaku. Nelson has since taken back control of his account. How did Microsoft let this happen? Can normal Joe soaps we hacked this easily too?
