Recently we found out that we were “long-listed” into the blog awards drafts and to say we were honoured would be an understatement. Since our launch in October 2009, many of you have seen us grow not only in the immediate regional geography but on a larger scale also. We have penetrated printed media, video media and have been mentioned across the globe. Today we have found out that we have been “short-listed” into the final 5 for the “Best Technology Blog” in the Irish Blog Awards. The award ceremony will take place in Galway on Friday 26th March at 7pm. You can bet we will be there!
We’d like to issue a big special thanks to everyone both big and small that has helped us in one way or another. We have seen amazing and quite often humbling interest for what we do. This site started out as a joint venture by two gamers and has transended all barriers of culture, race, religious beliefs and regions to become Ireland’s no.1 gaming site. More noticeably though, The Gaming Liberty is the only Irish gaming site to have made it this far so credit goes to our amazing readers, fans and our buzzing community. Thank you all.

Great work. I was reading up on the blog awards and sites can only go forward in 1 category. Kind of a shame because I reckon you would have made the shortlist in other ones too.
I think that Newcomer would have been a great one to have as I was afraid of going up against “TECH” blogs. Like blogs and sites that review apple ipads and the like, but to be in the last 5 says a LOT about the content, community and repore we have going on here.
