Here’s a little interesting rumour that appears in January’s Official Playstation 3 Magazine. The magazine published a small rumour that Dead or Alive 5 is PS3 bound. Now the game hasnt even been confirmed yet, even though it is widely assumed the game is in fact in development. Tecmo are staying quiet as you can imagine. Could it be another PS3 exclusive? Hardly, it wouldnt make sense for Tecmo to leave the 360 out. What do you think? TGL would really welcome DOA 5 especially since Tekken 6 left us a little deflated. We need a true next gen fighter.
Well I think a big part of the Xbox exclusivity was to do with Itagaki, can’t be certain on that given it was once PS exclusive but he seemed to have a loyalty near the end with Microsoft. Maybe now he is gone they are going back to PS, whether it’s exclusive or not I don’t know. Most of Team Ninjas games pushed the limits graphically last gen but this gen they haven’t been so strong. Maybe they want to get a fresh take making something exclusively for ps3 given the NG games on PS3 were ports with a bit of tweaking. The few games they are making now seem to be branching off to other consoles like Metroid for Wii. Who knows, maybe they are going exclusive.
