A video has surfaced online of actual Modern Warfare 2 gameplay. The video is FULL of spoilers and if you don’t want to read anymore then TGL suggest you stop…..HERE!!
We won’t go into much here, but, what we will say is that the level that was leaked seems to place you in the position of playing as one of the “terrorists”. You are in an airport and the video showcases some VERY dodgey material like executions of innocents etc. Why would Infinity Ward include such material? Some would suggest so we, Westerners, can view the game/story/narrative from the perspective of the enemy (who in their mind, is fighting for something JUST as justified than America and other countries/places in conflict). It is an interesting slant on the traditional FPS’s, allowing you to play as the person you are generally aiming at. In some eyes, this would open the gateway to games becoming more “accepted” in mainstream seeing as films and music depict similar items and in some cases, grossly over the top.
